From Hannah Kogut in Scotland:

Hello and welcome from Hannah Kogut, writing direct from Birmingham, England! Today—there’s not really any other way to describe the experience so far other than completely insane. We got on the plane and ended up stuck there for seven hours—ugh! But thankfully most of us got at least a few hours sleep, and our exhaustion didn’t matter much when we got to London (or at least, not to me!!) Having wanted to go to London since I was a very young child, this experience was one of the craziest adventures of my life. We left from Heathrow Airport and headed off down on the Tube, where we started a long tour of London. Sadly (or not so sadly, depending on how you look at it), there was the last marathon of the Olympics going on today, blocking off some sights. We were so incredibly lucky, however, by being able to see part of it!! J We traveled around London, going to Big Ben, Westminister Abby, Buckingham Palace, the House of Parliament, 10 Downing Street, the London Eye, and other important sights. We didn’t have time to go into any of them, but it was still one of the most intense and informative (not to mention fun) experiences of my life! Can’t wait to go back, and can’t wait to see more. Now off to bed, before I crash!!! <3
